In 2026, the VMware community is getting something big: VMUG Connect. This new multi-day format replaces the traditional UserCons and brings everything we love about VMUG to a higher level — deeper technical sessions, more hands-on labs, richer discussions, and, above all, genuine in-person community connection.
And the best part?
From March 17–19, 2026, VMUG Connect will take place right here in the Netherlands, at the RAI Amsterdam.
VMUG Connect is positioned as the next evolution of the VMUG experience. Instead of the one-day UserCon, attendees now get a multi-day event with:
-
Keynotes from VMware and industry leaders
-
Technical deep dives into the newest VMware innovations
-
Hands-on labs to try out technology directly
-
Workshops and certification opportunities
-
Panels and discussions with real-world practitioners
-
Space to meet peers, engineers, and community leaders face-to-face
It’s everything VMUG already did well — just more immersive, more flexible, and more community-driven.
VMUG Connect is for everyone working with VMware or cloud technologies — from administrators just starting their journey to architects, platform engineers, consultants, and IT leaders.
With curated learning tracks and plenty of space for networking, every attendee can tailor the event to match their goals.
For the Dutch VMware community (and our neighbors), Amsterdam is a fantastic location. The RAI is easily reachable, well-equipped for large technical events, and always buzzing with international energy.
Holding VMUG Connect in Amsterdam means:
-
Stronger presence from the local Benelux community
-
Easier access for European VMUG members
-
A great backdrop for meetups, after-hours networking, and community gatherings
With over 100 days to go, this will undoubtedly become one of the key VMware events of the year in Europe.
Registration is already open. Early-bird pricing is available, and VMUG Advantage members get a discount.
If you're working in the VMware ecosystem — whether hands-on in the field, responsible for architecture, or simply eager to learn — VMUG Connect Amsterdam is worth marking on your calendar.
